Jan 2011 well it was hot start to the year. I started Linda's invites I had scrapping day with Dani. We learnt that Colin's Aunt had passed at the end of last year and we met her family for the first time. We got the bad news that Colin's mum had another stroke. Then a couple of days later the really bad news she had died. So off we all went to Melbourne via Bateman's Bay(never again) got lost in Canberra the finally back on the Hume. Two cars Jonathon got heaps of Driving especially when we learnt that you have to do the speed limit when in Victoria so instead of 80 he got to try 100! We went to Colac for the funeral. It was a good family gathering.
Finished Linda's invites. Looked at daycare
Feb Started Daycare one day a week Tuesday's. I started Zumba at the Wiggly Centre good fun and free care for Melody and a really hot teacher. I got my hair cut short Rowan got his Learner's Permit.I held my first Stamoin Up Party it was such a hot day! BUt had a great time and got to see some people I hadn't seen for ages.
March Someone stole my license plate so that had to be replaced and I had relearn it! Went to Susan's 21st Christen and Susan got engaged. Jonathon drove us there and back. Also went to Lindas Hen's night (would never go back to that place again) I got to met Dorothy the dinosaur for the first time at the wiggly Centre. took Melody to the Pirate Ship play area at the shops she loved it what a mistake for me can't go anywhere on that level without her wanting to play! Did another card class. Finally after a few hiccups finished Linda's wedding stuff. Meldoy had a haircut this time most of the curls were cut off and a better fringe and overall cut this time.
April Linda got married it was a good night. My bosses son got christened. Easter Hat Parade at Music Group. Holiday Mainly Music which was just free play and some craft. Colin took the boys for a long drive to Melbourne and back. Linda had an Easter Egg hunt at her place. Melody got her first Chocolate Rabbit.I went to scrapbook camp and actually slept in a cabin for the first time in ten camps I have been to with them.
Another month of sad things the shop I work at will be closing (it closed its doors May 10) also my uncle Charlie in Qld died also a neighbour and a dart friend of my mum's as well.

Sept 2010 Fathers Day Colin got some new Superman PJ's. Melody got her white board and blackboard and enjoyed putting and taking magnets off. Melody decided to eat a peg spring and had a lovely trip to the doctors in a panic.She was fine but I was scared. I went to camp again (I was so lucky three camps in one year) Rowan got Melody a Barbie Plane they had fun playing with that.Melody also discovered getting dressed up!
Oct 2010 Melody turned Two we had a lunch out with her godparents Helen Joe John and Carol. Also Susan and Christen and MAtty as well. Lindas had her baby girl Aurora Bree on the 17th so we now have three special birthday's in a row in our family and friends. Ruby on the 15th Melody the 16th and Auroora on the 17th. But before all of that we went to Melbourne to see Colin's mum. It was the last school hoildays the boys would have and I thought it was time to see her after all they hadn't seen her for about five years! (we had taken Melody down in 2009). We had a great time in Melbourne catching up with Daddy's side of the family something we hadn't done for years.Jonathon got his Learners Permit Hope and Harry won a trip to the Grand Final so we caught up with them for breakfast.I had a birthday as well and I got an Ipod! Saw Jenny and Bob they had just got back from the USA and Bribane so they dropped by to give Melody her birthday present.
Sad ending to the month Colin's mum had a stroke we drove to Melbourne for the weekend to see her and meet up with some family that we hadn't seen in years.
Nov2010 we celebrated Melbourne Cup at Colin's work it was very interesting to see the entrainment on Kings Wharf and then as we walked back to the car to watch all the young and old slightly drunk people staggering home in the Darling Harbour area. HAd a visit to baby Aurora to help them clean their old house. I paid for that the next day so sore. Did the Santa photo and I had a lovely day at an Christmas Crop by a Creative Memories lady. Went a picnic in the park with my brothers and played on swings and slippery dip
Dec2010 HAd lunch with Carol and Linda and Aurora and we looked at some wedding invites (I said I would do her invites) Melody got a haircut her first fringe! Finally took down the playpen.
Went to Colin's Christmas Party at Darling Harbour and we even had drinks at Bungalow 8 (where Oprah had visited earlier that week). I had my Christmas Party at The Mean Fiddler. Melody went to a Wiggly Party for Taylor. Then of course it was Christmas Melody after a while got into it. Boxing day we went to Canberra just me and Melody our first long trip together alone.
We did ok and had a great visit with my sister. New Year was spent with the Whears. Jonathon turned 21 we had lunch at the workers. Party was to be later in the New year.

Its been a while

What elese can I say. I have been re reading a friend's blog and have been amazed at the changes in her life and now that I look its been a over a year since I last blogged I need to catch up!.

Well Since May 2010
May 2010. I went to a scrapbook camp had my first Mothers Day since my Mum died. Rowan turned 19. Colin finally got to take some leave.we celebrated International Towel Day at Linda's birthday in the park.Melody still wasn't talking so we went to Westmead for a hearing test no problems there.Biggles our sunconure (who the blog is named after) died that was really hard miss him heaps. Then that afternoon Colin was retrenched! Also went to Danielle's 21st
June 2010 24 years of marriage and lots of job searching for colin. My boss went on maternity leave Australia's first female Prime Minister. Colin left TCS and got a job at GIGA. I went to the final Vision Valley camp I had been at the first so when a lady had to pull out at the last moment I jumped at the chance although the timing wasn't that great.
July 2010 My boss had her baby boy Colin bought his Ipad started card making at the school.
Went to the drive in and saw ToyStory 3. The first Movie I had taken the boys too had been Toy Story and the last movie I took them too was Toy Story 2 so it was only fitting now that I was now mother of 3 that I take them all the see the movie! Rowan started a new course at Nirimba TAFE (it was funny as Colin had served at Nirimba when it was a Navy Base)Colin had a birthday got a play station 2. just so we could play sing star (which to date we have done once lol)
Aug 2010 saw my sister Jenny for the first time in seven months. I got a really bad cold so bad that I missed out a full day of scrapbooking and a Sunday shift at work! Then as a good parent does I gave it to Melody. I hosted linda's baby shower here. My sil sent Melody a beautiful poucho. We met Jono and Dano from WSFM and Rowan won a motorised Esky! That was fun to watch everyone ride. We also voted for the first time as a family. We gave up our waterbed mattress for a real mattress after 24 years.(now thats its winter we miss the heat of the waterbed mattress).Melody got a yellow playhouse.
