After Easter
Well another Easter has been and gone.
Easter is usually bigger for us then Xmas.
It all started in 1993 when my dh won the Easter Egg raffle at Playgroup. He was in the Navy at the time and wasn't coming home for 8 more weeks so we had this huge basket of eggs and only me and two toddlers and a grandma to eat them!
So I asked a few friends over. We had a great day and all the kids enjoyed themselves. So the following year we decided to do it again this time at one of the friends house(it wasn't as much fun) So in 1995 we had it again at my house. It rained!
After that we seemed to have great days for our annual hunt. As the children got older just looking for eggs wasn't as fun so we had a few clue hunts which were a success! Clues like you collect post from here(letterbox)or look out for Steve Irwin(a cement croc we have ).
This year we just counted how many eggs and the person who found the most red eggs got a special prize.
Counting the eggs is very important we had one year when we didn't count how many eggs and we found eggs three weeks later!
The boys are getting to the stage now where its now just a token day not that excitement anymore so I now try to get things for them to keep ie they got the Simpson cup and bowl set.
Now that don't even pose with the eggs now so I sneak photos of them as I put them out.
As for my weekend being tainted by the thought of me losing my job I think I will resign the day before my review. Hopefully he will remove the black mark from my record and I can use Coles as a reference or being able to take another job in the company more to my liking.
I mean I almost live at Kmart and help lots of people at the photo machines so why not work there? I know of a couple of TAFE courses in photography that might help me get a posistion.
I feel that resigning will be better then getting fired. I can always say to the next employer I gave up night work to look for day work now that my children are older. Or that I wanted to put more time into my studies that my job was interfering with. I can't use actual members of mangement for a referee as in the last 11 weeks we have had a new store manager, new duty manager, new produce manager and new grocery manager!
No management remains that remembers all the extra hours I used to put in or when they would ring me to run the load on my days off. I used to work so hard for really no thanks thats why I stopped putting in the extra hours I just do what I have to do and thats it so I suppose thats what is now working against me.
Well enough about work.

I am sorry to hear you feel you should resign but understand hoe fed up you must be.
Sounds like you have thought it all through. What a difficult time for you.
Hope things look up really soon on the job front and I'm so glad your mum was ok! :-)
